Literature
Most of my literary works are born from dreams that I experience, with my poetry especially resulting from chronic illness. I often write down just a silver of a thought, mentally transform it into a short story which I then use as an outline to go by on the journey from idea to novel. I have over nine such outlines in various notebooks, and I am always adding to them.I also suffer from Night Terrors when I'm actually able to go into a deeper sleep than my illness has afforded me lately. I have never written based on these Night Terrors, although I've received much advice that I should. Perhaps they would make good short stories and definitely horrific ones, but I find it difficult to use them as material. Honestly, they make the imaginings of Clive Barker and John Carpenter look like family entertainment. However, one never knows… perhaps one day I'll explore them more and make an anthology.
